Panels depicting Christ in Glory with symbols of the Evangelists and four Cardinal Virtues (?) (lid) and the Twelve Apostles (sides). The nine walrus ivories mounted on this casket are the earliest in the [Gambier-Parry] collection. The casket is probably a 19th century pastiche or fake.
