Cross in cypress wood carved with scenes of the New Testament in a silver-gilt mount, inscribed, set with semi-precious stones (cabouchon garnets?) and pastes. Also carved wooden case with hinged glazed cover. Most of silver-gilt framing arches missing from front of each carved scene. The cross was carved in Mount Athos and exported to Sombor (near the border with Hungary, in modern day Serbia and Montenegro) for mounting.
